what they may look like:
Habit
1: BE PROACTIVE
~Do you go and ask your Math teacher for help when you don't
understand what is being explained in class? If so - you're being
proactive!

2: BEGIN WITH THE END IN MIND
~Are you setting goals for yourself? No matter how big or small
- if you're setting them and keeping them in mind as you go throughout your
school year - you're beginning with the end in
mind!

3: PUT FIRST THINGS FIRST
~Do you decide to study for your Social Studies test tomorrow
instead of play video games with your friends? If so - you're putting first
things first!

4: THINK WIN-WIN
~Are you looking for ways to be sure that everyone on the team
in floor hockey gets to participate in P.E. class? If so - you're thinking
win-win!

5: SEEK FIRST TO UNDERSTAND, THEN TO BE UNDERSTOOD
~Are you listening, I mean, really listening to your
friend when there is a disagreement between the two of you in an effort to
understand where she/he is coming from before you share your side of
the story? If so - you're seeking first to understand, then to be
understood!

6: SYNERGIZE
~Are you coming up with a third BETTER option when you and your
friends can't agree upon what to do after school? If so - way ta go you
"synergizers"!!

7: SHARPEN THE SAW
~Are you taking time for yourself, taking care of you? Maybe you
walk the dog, or listen to music, or draw, or read?? If so - you're sharpening
the saw - good for you!
